At Urban Hope we believe in giving back to our community. We believe in getting involved and getting our hands dirty. We hope to partner with the city’s leaders to intentionally serve its greatest needs. Through this act we strive to communicate the true love of Christ’s church. We want to live a life that makes a difference for eternity.

Mark 10:45

There is nothing we desire more than to set up a meeting place between God and His people. Our goal in each and every setting is to give a place for people to freely worship their Creator without refrain. God provides what we need, and we should respond with praise and gratitude. Our worship can't be just an event or a song. We demonstrate our worship to Him through sacrifice of time, talent, giving and most importantly our lives.

Psalms 118:13-16

In today’s world there are many opinions depicted as truth. We have a tendency in this generation to require proof in order to reason out our logic. We believe the bible is perfect and without flaw. It will perfectly guide our lives if we allow it. The Bible is a timeless guide for our lives no matter how our culture may change. As we hear God’s word we find freedom. Our goal is not to convince or persuade, but to lovingly show what God has done individually and corporately in the hearts of those connected with Urban Hope. We simply want to share freely what has been freely given to us.

Romans 15:4

The mission God gave his church was to “go and make disciples.”(Matt 28:19) At Urban Hope, our goal is not to become a large gathering place, but to become an effective movement. We do not desire to institutionalize a church, but rather infiltrate a city. We want each follower of Christ to continue to grow in the faith. The more we learn about God the more we discover our purpose.

Matthew 28:19-20

We believe everyone needs friends. Friends that will stand with us at the highest moments of life, and the lowest. Due to the fast-paced times in which we live, many of our relationships never get beyond the surface. At Urban Hope, we will work hard to create opportunities for you to meet people and get beyond the surface. We believe one of the best way to know God better is in a community of friends at are passionate about God. We want you to find friends and family that will stand with you through anything.  Proverbs 17:17

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Old and New Testaments pointing to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

We believe that there is One God, eternally revealed to the world in the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. By Him were all things created.

We believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to redeem all of mankind. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on this earth, performed many undeniable miracles, was crucified for our sins, buried and was raised from the dead for our justification. By the name of Jesus Christ, and His name only, can mankind be saved. Jesus Christ sits at the Right Hand of the Father and will return personally in power and glory to receive His Church unto Himself.

We believe that mankind is sinful by nature and will perish without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as revealed in His Gospel. That God wishes that no one should perish, but that all would come to this saving knowledge through the preaching of the Gospel to a lost and hopeless world.

We believe in the multi-faceted work of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction of sin, revelation of the truth of the Gospel of Christ, drawing of the sinner to God, adoption of mankind into the Body of Christ through regeneration, and the distribution and administration of the Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life. Jesus Christ is the “baptizer with the Holy Spirit” for the empowerment of the Church through the Baptism with the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the local church as a place where believers gather together for edification, teaching from the Word of God, and ministry to and through each other according to their spiritual gift. The local church provides identity to its members as well as encouragement, interdependence, fellowship, correction, and discipline.
